Job List

We are currently taking bids for work in Falls Church for electrical. If you are interested in submitting a bid please feel free to contact matthew.b.unger@gmail.com

Notes or measurements identified by the originator of this document are to be used only as a general help reference. The contractor is responsible for taking all measurements for the work effort.

More detailed instructions are provided below.

House Layout

Included is a basic diagram of the house with sizes for reference. The included link allows for the Visio file to be downloaded if you wish to do manipulation or measure directly.

Email if you wish to see the property in person prior to submitting a bid. Appointments can easily be made for before 10:00 AM or after 5:00 PM Monday-Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Electrical

Rewire House
Contracting requirements are:
• Circuit runs in attic and crawlspace should follow studs and not run diagonally unless required.
• Install
• Install main switch and meter at the front right or middle right side of the house.
• Main switch and meter should be installed on siding mounting blocks (such as Arlington meter mounting base http://www.aifittings.com/k_1a.htm).

Technical Information

Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all permits and conduct the work to highest industry standards.

The contract shall submit a timeline with tasks and milestones for accomplishing the work.

The contract will list the current first available date upon which construction could start.

Information outlining the experience and qualifications of the company/contractor is expected.

Upon being short listed three references will be requested.

Financial Stipulations

A cost summary must be submitted with the bid breaking out job/task.

We will either provide the materials up front or will provide payment for materials at the time of delivery, upon receiving a receipt.

Payment for labor portion of services shall be upon completed job/task.
Should payment be required up front a Performance and Payment Bond from the contractor for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be expected.

Proposals containing escalator clauses will not be accepted.

Proposals for time and materials will be accepted only with a fixed labor rate, maximum hours not to exceed, and a detailed parts price list including manufacture and part number.

The hourly labor rate will be provided, should non-contracted work be requested.
